Meet the 2 Nauti Charters Team
As of January 2021, 2 Nauti Charters has grown to have 4 vessels available for charters. Our Yellowfin center console boats cover all areas of the waters in the Florida Keys from the backcountry waters of the everglades on our 24ft Yellowfin, the reef and wrecks on our 34ft Yellowfin, and offshore in our 42ft Yellowfin. For the ultimate comfort on the water our 52ft Sportfishing Viking provides the ability to fish, relax, and enjoy the waters for days.
Captain Charles Turner started fishing at a very young age with his dad on their 25ft speed craft out of Islamorada, where they targeted species like yellowtail and mutton snappers on the reef and mahi, Tuna and wahoo offshore. As the years went by Captain Charles and his father switched gears and began fishing the backcountry waters of Flamingo National Park. “My father and I would load up our 14ft fiberglass canoe on Friday nights with a 12v 55 lbs. thrust trolling motor mounted on the transom and 2 batteries, one to fish with and one to get us home.” The range with 1 battery allowed Charles and his father to drop at the boat ramp and fish Bradley key, Murray key, and Joe Kemp Key. The short range helped key in the importance of fishing the tides in the backcountry.
At the age of 18 Charles became a captain and began working with sea tow where he learned the fundamentals of boat handling and most importantly boating safety. Even with a full-time job with sea tow Captain Charles still found the time to be an on-call fishing captain on private vessels. After 4 years of commercial towing and marine salvage knowledge under his belt Captain Charles diverted back to his roots of fishing in the Florida Keys.
Captain Charles is now a fishing charter captain in Marathon FL where he manages, maintains, and operates 4 high end fishing charter vessels. “My goal in this industry is to provide a service that not only shows people how to fish but shows the importance of ocean conservation while creating a lifelong memory of pure happiness for my customers.”
